morro bay
We’re finally on the road and our first stop is Morro Bay. It’s beautiful here! We’re right next to Morro rock and the dunes and all the flowers are in bloom. We spent an hour setting up and then Andrew went to work. Ingrid set up an Easter egg hunt for her kids, and after the hunt she put the big sofa cushion on the floor and it became a jumpy house. Later we went outside and Ingrid was delighted to find sand amidst the flowers. She built a castle with a moat while I experimented with leaving Pluto tied up to the BBQ grill. He did OK. He was still able to climb up a tree but on the ground he got bored in just a few minutes. Ingrid carved slides in a sand hill and I got a few minutes to practice my dance routine. After work we all went to the beach to check out the rock. The dunes were really cool but it was very windy and we didn’t stay long. But the dogs were happy because they got to run around free for a few minutes.
Our first impressions from yesterday were: wow, can’t believe we’re finally doing this! and: it’s SO cool to see a totally different landscape when we look out our dinette window!
