I’m dancing again, and I bring Ingrid along with me but she needs something fun to do when she’s tired of watching the class. We’re just finishing up studying dinosaurs, so I bought Ingrid this little wooden 3D puzzle of a Tyrannosaurus Rex at Michael’s to take to class. She really enjoyed making it, and the next day she hot glued it so it’s a permanent piece now. Today she decided to have tea with “Mr. T” and she got all dressed up with the fancy new top that Katie, April, and Jameson gave her for Christmas. For the bottoms, she chose the skirt that Aunt Jane made her. Topped it all off with a fancy new paper hat for each of them and then it was party time.

Friday, February 11th, 2011where the wild things are
Friday, February 11th, 2011We’ve been having family movie nights once a week. Now that Ingrid loves movies, and we’re close to a big library, it’s been wonderful to sit down and watch some oldies with our big bowl of buttery home made popcorn. Andrew has been checking HBO and last week he recorded Where the Wild Things Are. This is a movie I was kind of curious about but not really enough to shell out the movie ticket price for. It’s kind of a strange movie for an adult to watch, because it doesn’t give enough details or background, but it’s perfect for kids. Ingrid loved it, but she did have to suffer through a sad part first. Why do all children’s movies have a gut wrenching sad part in them?
Anyway, the next day Ingrid was inspired to make a cute little Carol puppet. She completed the project all by herself and I’m really impressed with how it turned out.
wth?
Friday, February 11th, 2011It’s Andrew’s latest creation, a bicycle rack for his moto! Now he can ride and bike in one day! Which is nice for me, because then I’m not stuck at home with no car for hours at a time.
