Photos from the Road

Since early 2009 we have been traveling this great country of ours, seeing all kinds of amazing people and places.

It all started almost two years ago now. We had planned to move to Hawaii to take advantage of my ability to work from home, but the crash in the housing market changed our plans. Thinking we would be unable to sell our house, we decided to rent it out and buy an RV to drive around the country. Although this meant putting our Hawaii dream on hold, we knew it would be fun and we figured that Hawaii wasn’t going anywhere. A few months later we got our RV and got ready to rent out the house when we got a last minute offer on it. Despite a pathetic selling price, we took it and never looked back.

That was in late 2008 and we have been living in our RV ever since. In just over a year we have seen more places and things than some people see in a lifetime. Ingrid has learned way more about life, history, art, and society than any kindergarden classroom could have taught her. She has grown full of wonder, knowledge, and the eagerness to explore.

Although we have other pictures scattered around this site of things we’ve done on our travels, like motorcycle races or visits with family, these pictures show all the places we’ve been on our journey.
